Best Thing You Can Do With Your Baby
What’s the best thing you can do with your new baby (that you will totally enjoy as well)? Read on sister, you’ll be glad you did.
We all have these romantic notions of bringing our newborn baby home and just reveling in the sweetness of being a new mother and bonding with our child. And while this is truly great, it lasts for, at most, a few weeks. And then, you slowly begin to go insane.
We are so accustom to busy lives, crossing off to-do lists, and being crazy productive that eliminating all of this to sit down and feed your new baby for 45 minutes, every hour and a half, is like trying to go cold turkey giving up something you rely on like chocolate, or air!
When they aren’t eating, they are usually sleeping, leaving you with tons of time to do nothing. Oh, and if anyone tells you to just sleep when you baby sleeps, feel free to slap them. That line is complete crap as it is almost always impossible.
Well, I have a sanity-saving activity for you! If you haven’t heard of My Gym, it is a fitness and fun gym for kids. But I bet you didn’t know that they have a fantastic class for babies that begins at 6 weeks of age!
Yeah, I know you are thinking, “baby gymnastics? I’m not a crazy, over-scheduling parent (yet)”. But honey, this class isn’t just about your baby. It’s about you and getting you out of the house, hanging out with other women that are doing the exact same thing you are right now.
The best part is that the class is just a “drop-in” when you feel like it, kind-a-thing. It’s just $5 to come and is totally fun. They do circle-time, help the babies stretch their muscles, tummy time, discussion time for parents, indoor swings, baby-safe rides, songs and dances.
So throw on some yoga pants, put your hair up in a top-knot and come spend an hour doing a fun, sanity-reclaiming activity with your little one. You will be soooooo happy that you did!
I’m so thrilled about this class that I’m putting a coupon that you can print out at the bottom of this post. That way you can try it out for free! Seriously, no risk here, just a chance to feel a little more in touch with the world, and get some support while you settle into this new job of yours.
