Sister Newborn Photographs

The love between sisters is always a joy to witness. They care for each other and nurture each other, a big sister is practically a mini-mom. Lucky little Kollyns happens to have two mini-moms, as she’s the third in a family of three daughters.

Mom and Dad actually hadn’t planned on having newborn photos taken when Kollyns was born. With a newborn and two other young kids at home, they assumed that this time in the family’s life would be busy enough without trying to coordinate a photo session. When Mom saw the newborn photos I created for her sister’s baby girl though, she just knew that if she let time pass without commemorating this moment in photos, she would miss those memories later.

That’s when Mom called me and I was thrilled that I could fit her into my schedule. When the day of the session arrived, it was a joy to meet this beautiful growing family. I was absolutely enchanted with big sisters Stella and Olivia! They were perfect angels throughout the entire session, cooperating so well with everything I asked of them during their photos. It was clear that they truly treasure their baby sister, and I loved finding ways to capture that love on camera.

Baby Kollyns, meanwhile, was in dreamland during the entire session and never woke up once! We were blessed to be able to get so many sleepy photos of her surrounded by all things feminine, from flowers to hearts, all decked out in pink. Kollyns gets her adorable name from the fertility doctor who worked with Mom and Dad to bring her into the world, and the entire family cherishes her as the blessing that she is. By the end of the session, we had a fantastic variety of photos of Kollyns as well as her big sisters.
