Colorful Newborn Photos

Most parents that I work with have a vision in their minds for their family’s photos and the aesthetics they want, and one of my favorite aspects of photography is bringing those visions to life. This was certainly true with baby Samisha’s family: Mom was excited to have a lot of color and a lot of variety in Samisha’s newborn album, and I had a great time making that happen.

Thanks to Mom’s vision, we came up with a wide range of photos and settings for Samisha’s first portraits. We have photos of her surrounded by delicate flowers and pink fluff, and others in which she’s snuggled into a rich gold and red wedding veil. We have photos of Samisha against a beautiful background of the night sky above a lake, and an absolutely adorable shot of Samisha on a background of feathers, flashing the most heart-melting grin with her tongue making an appearance.

Eclectic Newborn Portraits

This photo session marked not only Samisha’s first portraits but the family’s first portraits as a family of four. Big brother Sam, like most two-year-olds, was more interested in playing and exploring his surroundings than he was in sitting for photos. Still, he let us capture a precious picture of him with his new baby sister, as well as a sweet family photo.

From the moment Samisha was born, Mom and Dad were looking forward to getting new portraits with their growing family, and they made the session a truly fun and special one. They ended up with a beautiful and eclectic gallery with colors bright enough to match their bright and cheerful personalities. It was a pleasure to help them commemorate this important step in their family’s lives.
