Springtime Six-Month Portraits for a Sweet Baby Boy ~ Joshua

Many of my clients follow a similar schedule of portraits for their babies. They start with maternity photos and when the baby arrives, they get a beautiful gallery of newborn photos taken. Then, they come back for milestone photos when the baby is one year old, and occasionally get updated portraits as their kids grow up.

I always love watching these babies grow and seeing how much they change over their first year. But this family wanted to chronicle each stage of little Joshua’s growth, so this time, I enjoyed the added luxury of seeing Joshua when he was six months old too.

Springtime 6-month Baby Photos

This was a great choice by Mom and Dad because not only do they have sweet photos of little Joshua growing and learning at this amazing age, but they had the stunning backdrop of springtime for their portraits. We were lucky to have a gorgeous spring this year (a perk of being a Connecticut baby photographer), so to make the most of it, we chose to have Joshua’s six-month portraits taken at a local park that’s known for its incredible flowers and gardens.

The bright spring colors provided a lovely setting, and the only thing more eye-catching than those flowers was baby Joshua’s smile. He was an absolute delight throughout the session, with plenty of smiles and giggles the entire time. He grew tired toward the end of the session, but he was so sweet and he never let crankiness set in…even though he was drained enough to fall asleep in Dad’s arms on the walk back to the car.

Thanks to Joshua and his adoring parents, these six-month portraits turned out beautifully! I’m even more excited than before that I’ll be rejoining this kind and loving family when Joshua turns one year old for his next milestone photos, and I can’t wait to see him walking around.
