Perfect in Pink: Cozy Newborn Pictures ~ Mabel

It’s safe to say that every parent that walks through my doors is excited about their new bundle of joy. But there are some parents who are absolutely over the moon, and those are my favorite sessions because their happiness is so contagious! Lucky little Mabel’s parents fit that description to a T.

These two just seem to be cheerful and positive people in general, but with their new baby girl in their arms, their joy was overflowing. I had such a wonderful time capturing that excitement and the love these sweet parents have for their baby girl.

For Mabel’s photos, we opted for a classic range of pink tones that paint a preciously feminine picture. Mom particularly wanted cozy newborn pictures for her little girl’s first portraits, and it just so happens that little Mabel has the most perfect baby rolls and chubby cheeks, so it was easy to make Mom’s vision a reality. I simply can’t get over the cozy photo of Mabel snuggled under a blanket with fuzzy bunnies on each side of her, and the way her mouth falls open in her deep sleep is beyond adorable!

I always get a kick out of watching new dads with their babies in particular. Most moms feel confident and natural holding their babies, but it doesn’t usually come so naturally to dads. Mabel’s dad was so sweetly cautious while holding his baby girl. He’s such a masculine guy, so to watch him cradling his little girl so carefully was utterly heartwarming, and it all comes through in his protective gaze in his first family portraits with his daughter.
