A Heart-Stealing Hero’s Newborn Portraits ~ Miles

Newborn photography isn’t just about capturing adorable baby smiles and sleepy faces. Sure, those aspects are adorable, but newborn portraits celebrate a new baby’s entrance into their loving family. For every session, my aim is to incorporate the unique essence of the family and their identity so that they can treasure their photos that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Newborn Photos Hispanic Culture

In the case of baby Miles, there were several elements that were particularly special to his family. This family strongly values their cultural heritage, so I wanted to make sure that in Miles’s newborn photos, the Hispanic culture was honored and proudly featured. I absolutely love the portrait of Miles supported by the beautiful sombrero that big brother Mason wore on his first birthday.

Speaking of Mason, he’s another part of what makes this family’s story so distinctive. Mason was born right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic – in March of 2020. In fact, I was looking forward to his newborn photo session but just a few days before his session, I had to close my doors as a health precaution.

Boys Born Close Together

Miles was born just 15 months after Mason, so now that my studio is opened back up, these boys’ proud parents decided to try again. With these boys born close together, it was clear to see that they already have a special bond, and I was thrilled to be able to capture it on camera.

Finally, we made sure to incorporate Batman into Miles’s newborn photos too! His dad is a big Batman fan and he can’t wait to share the lore with his boys as they grow up. It was only fitting that we put Miles in his very own baby bat suit for one of his portraits, and for Mason and Miles, we couldn’t resist the Batman and Robin costumes!
