Two-Year-Old Photos and Tea for Two ~ Emilia & Johanna

Photographing twins is always a unique and special treat for me. The bond that twins have is absolutely one of a kind, and I consider it to be such an honor to see such a beautiful connection and friendship in action. That has been the case every time I’ve had the joy of photographing these cuties, Emilia and Johanna.

I’ve actually been photographing this sweet family since Emilia and Johanna were still nestled in Mom’s tummy, starting with a stunning maternity photoshoot to memorialize Mom’s maternity journey. The twins are now two years old and they just get more dynamic and lovely every time I see them!

By now, Emilia and Johanna are pros at getting their picture taken. After all, I’m sure everyone wants snapshots of those adorable faces! Two-year-olds are not generally known for their patience, so I was beyond impressed that these two were so great at sitting quietly and showing the camera their gorgeous smiles.

I don’t often have the chance to photograph identical twin girls and family, so a photoshoot like this was a fun experience, to say the least. I love the pictures of them together first, and the way they lit up when their parents joined them was a wonderful testament to the relationship between them all.

For childhood photos, I always enjoy getting some “action shots” of the kids having fun and interacting with their surroundings. In this case, we accomplished this with an impromptu tea party! The girls were an absolute delight, serving tea to the stuffed animals and just being the sweet little girls they are.
