A Baby Girl’s Faith-Filled Newborn Photos

I first met Penelope’s blessed parents when I worked with Mom to create some incredibly beautiful (and red-hot!) maternity photos. They were so much fun to work with, so naturally, I was so excited when they reached out to let me know that their baby girl had arrived and that they were ready to come in for her newborn photos. This session would be all about creating faith-filled newborn photos.

Faith and family are both incredibly important to Penelope’s parents, and we made sure that both of these priorities would shine through in their newborn daughter’s first portraits. For one of Penelope’s most special photos, we laid her on the family bible which was open to a passage that means a lot to Mom: “For this child I prayed, and the Lord has answered my prayer.”

We wanted to be sure to capture little Penelope’s loving family in her photos too. Along with her proud Mom and Dad, we included her aunt and grandmother in her photos too, so her portraits feature the amazing women who will be leading her and nurturing her as she grows.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a baby girl’s newborn photos if we didn’t get some adorable portraits of her with the girliest possible scenery, too! She looks like an absolute queen surrounded by vibrant and colorful flowers. Throughout the session, Penelope was a dream to photograph as well.

A baby’s newborn days are a time that their parents will always remember, but those days are also filled with a lot of work, stress, and adjustment, and not a lot of sleep. Newborn photos are a wonderful way to slow down and freeze this special time so you can always remember that precious time with the new love of your life.
