Family Newborn Photography in Lovely Lavender ~ Madison Rae

When I photograph a session with a family that I’ve worked with in the past, it makes me eager for their session in a special way. I love to reconnect with my families, hear what they’ve been up to, and see how their kids have grown. Little Madison Rae is the newest member of one of these families to come in for family newborn photography.

I first met Madison Rae’s parents about two years ago, when I had the privilege of taking newborn portraits for their first child, Emma. When they reached out to say that they were welcoming another daughter, I was thrilled to be able to create timeless newborn portraits for baby Madison Rae and to incorporate the entire family too.

Of course, life with young kids is always unpredictable, and problems seem to pop up at the least convenient times. In this case, the morning of this family’s photo session started off with them accidentally locking both sets of keys in the car…while the car was already loaded up with everyone’s outfits for the portraits and while the car was already running. Oops!

They managed to think on their feet and mom grabbed new outfits for everyone and they made it to the studio. Looking at their beautifully coordinated portraits with a gorgeous lavender color palette, you would never know their day didn’t go as planned!

Family newborn photography always presents me with the fun opportunity to snap beautiful portraits of a newborn baby with their siblings. Two-year-old Emma is still getting used to the idea of her little sister in these early days. Still, Emma was such a trooper, and while anyone would expect portraits of a two-year-old and newborn to be challenging, we ended up with a beautiful photo of these two besties in the making!
