Guilia ~ Family Photography Session | 19 Months Old

I first photographed Guilia during a newborn photo session a mere 19 months ago. She was wrapped in all things feminine and laid in a bed of beautiful flowers. Like most newborn photos, Guilia slept through most of it, creating even more of a peaceful aura.

Fast forward 9 months, and I got to photograph her for the second time. With a warm, autumn backdrop, toy raccoon, and apple in hand, Guilia looked like a mini-Snow White. She seemed so at one with nature. I almost expected all sorts of friendly wildlife to come out of the woodwork to sit next to her on her flannel picnic blanket.

Now at 19 months old, I got another opportunity to photograph this lovely little girl. Just like the previous two sessions, she was slow to warm up to the idea of being center stage, but once the bubbles came out, her apprehension disappeared with each bubble she chased down and burst. She warmed up and quickly fell into rewarding me with adorable grins and smiles that reached her eyes. 

Once again, nature was the perfect background. A beautiful pond created such a tranquil backdrop for this family session. The pond’s reflection had me reflecting on how much this little beauty had grown. Now, Guilia’s big beautiful blue eyes and dark long lashes were striking. No longer was this girl sleeping through photoshoots. She had so much fun chasing butterflies, playing with the bubbles, and running around with mom and dad during the session! 

As the session progressed, I could see more and more of her personality come through, noticing bits of her mother and father in her. I believe these photographs captured more than just physical likenesses; they captured each individual’s essence as well. I could see how tight-knit this little family of three had become.
