Sienna ~ Newborn Baby Sister Photo Session

“Hold my hand, big brother, all the years through. Hold my hand, little sister, for I will always love and protect you.”

A few weeks ago, Mom contacted me to schedule her newborn photography session consultation before Sierra arrived. She brought Sienna’s big brother Owen with her, and he was the best behaved two-year old I have ever encountered. I was absolutely amazed by his behavior and manners. If Sienna gets a similar personality, this family will have hit the jackpot. 

Big brothers are some of the best confidants, protectors, and friends a girl could ever ask for. And while little sisters get a bad wrap for being incessant pests, they are truly a gift that is cherished! I got to see the bud of one such big brother/little sister relationship during this newborn baby sister photo session.

I absolutely love the picture of Big Brother Owen holding sweet Sienna! Him resting his chin on her head has to be one of the cutest pictures I’ve ever taken. Mom wanted to capture their growing family and get some special photographs created that highlighted just how beautiful her baby girl is, so we switched to some more feminine themes. We loved the soft pinks with the teddy bears, so we had her snuggle up close to them while sleeping in her precious headband. I love the one of her sleeping on the garden bed. That floral, grass tuft was the perfect whimsical touch.

We went ahead and took a cute winter picture complete with glittery snowflakes. Her wrapped up in her soft blue swaddle on a white fluffy bed looks just like her laying on a bed of snow! And of course, she had the perfect headband to match. Sienna was a gem for her entire session. I can’t wait to take more pictures of this sweet growing family!
