Tessa ~ Newborn Family Photoshoot

As a CT newborn photographer, newborns never cease to amaze me. They are so little, fitting in the palms of our hands, yet their features are already so perfect and unique. I love capturing all of the details about them that we never want to forget: the wiggly toes, impossibly small fingernails, chubby cheeks, and rosy lips. How special for parents to see all of these distinctive features that came from them! With the arrival of a new baby, we have fun trying to decide if she has her mother’s eyes or if he has his father’s nose. But sure enough, as they get older, we realize that they are wonderful mixes, making up remarkable, unique kids who keep us laughing, amazed, and on our toes! They make our families complete.

A Tiny Surprise

This little blessing was a happy surprise—Tessa arrived a month early! She sure was tiny (5 pounds 7.5 ounces and 18.5 inches long), but I have a feeling she’s going to be a fun little firecracker. I was enthralled with her beauty. She already has the most beautiful head of dark hair! In true newborn fashion, she dozed throughout the session, but even in her sleep she had me laughing at all of her adorable expressions. She went right along with each pose like a professional newborn model, if that was a thing. One of my favorites is the family photo because she’s relaxing comfortably in their arms with a little smirk like, “I know I’m cute.” She may have come early, but after seeing her confident little poses, seems ready to take on the world.
