A Long-Awaited Outdoor Family Photoshoot in Glastonbury, CT ~ Noelle
Outdoor Family Photoshoot in Glastonbury CT
Just about every parent who has welcomed a baby since 2020 can agree that the COVID-19 pandemic changed many aspects of their experience. In the case of this wonderful family, it meant that when little Noelle entered the world, they weren’t able to get the newborn portraits they wanted.
So, when Noelle turned nine months old, Mom and Dad didn’t want to wait any longer and decided to schedule their outdoor family photoshoot in Glastonbury CT to get beautiful portraits of Noelle’s infancy before she became a toddler. I was happy to help, and we scheduled their sessions at a stunning local park at the beginning of fall so we could take advantage of one of those spectacular autumn sunsets before the weather became too cold.
I had a great time photographing the entire family, including little Noelle and her proud big brother Gloden. Gloden was hesitant and shy at first, but he was a great sport throughout the entire session. He eventually warmed up and he let us get our fill of that touching smile.
Noelle, for her part, was a doll to photograph. She was teething, though, and as the sun went down, she decided that it was time for the session to be over. We managed to get plenty of great photos in before anyone started crying, though, and for a family with such little kids, that’s a big win!
In outdoor sessions like this, my favorite photos are often the candid shots of the kids just enjoying the park and being themselves. Baby Noelle was so full of wonder and was just itching to move and explore, and I’m so glad I was able to preserve this adorable stage of her life.
