We loved our experience with Amber and One Big Happy Photo last summer. Everything was very clear, professional, and warm. I was in a postpartum fog and Amber took care of everything during our session. We all look happy and healthy and like ourselves. Although the photoshoot, album, and canvas are an investment, they are so, so worth it. They are super high quality, we look at them all the time, even a year+ out. Amber did absolutely incredible with both the images she captured, as well as keeping our little one in safe hands- and content for a long session! From start to finish, we were treated with compassion. Amber offered us parents goodies while she worked with our little peanut and was flexible with what our little girl was and wasn’t cooperating with for photo poses. I reached out to the company and Chelsea responded quickly with an email to setup a phone call to schedule a consultation with Amber. From the beginning Chelsea and Amber have been AMAZING and professional! Amber is such a kind soul who knows what she is doing. After previewing my maternity photos, I was beyond impressed and couldn’t wait for her to do our newborn/family photos within the weeks to come. Words cannot express how absolutely phenomenal Amber is! From the planning meeting to the day of to getting our prints, she was always in communication with us and incredibly thorough. Her studio is cozy and I think she may be a baby whisperer, having a full two hour session without my two week old making a peep! I began to look for newborn photographers as we got closer to our daughter’s due date. I wanted a photographer who could give us typical newborn photos and unique ones too. I found Amber online. I am so glad I did. When we had our consultation, I was amazed with her work and so excited to work with her. We communicated a few times before our daughter was born, going over ideas to capture my husband’s Greek nationality and my son’s love for Greek mythology. When we saw the photos for the first time, I was speechless. The final product was breathtaking. Better than I could have ever imagined. Every photo brought tears to my eyes. We even had a photo paying tribute to my Sicilian heritage. I absolutely love and treasure every photo of our daughter. They have exceeded my expectations. It was a chilly windy cloudy day of March when we had to do the maternity shoot outdoor but she put all her effort to capture the best of the golden hour. We brought our son on 3/17/22 to take his newborn photos with Amber and it was the BEST experience! She let me know exactly what to expect, what to bring and how to prepare for the session ahead of time and once we were there, she handled Everything, while we relaxed in the waiting area with some breakfast snacks and coffee. She had extra baby wipes and baby bottle warmer, odds and ends in case we forgot to bring something. She had TONS of cute outfits for baby too to choose from. Amber is SO warm, sweet and easy to work with. She is very mindful of parents wishes on detailing for the photos and does her absolute best to get all the photo shots we were looking for. From our first meeting with Amber until we picked up our prints, she was an absolute dream to work with. Amber's process is very thorough, clear, and well thought-out. We really appreciated the attention to detail she put into each meeting. We didn't book a traditional newborn shoot, but did it closer to our daughter being 2 months old. With that, we knew we might not get a lot of shots, never mind the traditional/typical ones you see. Amber was so patient with us, took her time, and was so wonderful with our daughter. Amber found time for us in her busy schedule. But, after receiving the final product and reflecting on the entire experience, it really has been worth it. Absolutely the most professional, efficient experience possible.I was looking to book newborn photos and a specific style of maternity photo. I contacted several photographers, but wasn’t convinced they could deliver. Plus, they were MUCH more expensive with a minimum spend requirement. I was hesitant to commit to pay so much when I may not like what they did.Enter Amber. From the very first call, I knew she was The One. She is SO ORGANIZED! From follow up emails, to links to book appointments, to info packets to explain options. She’s so efficient. Not a moment was wasted, but also, I never felt rushed.And the photos were phenomenal!!! I love how we were required to meet her ahead of time to plan our photo session. By doing this, there were no decisions to be made on photo shoot day which makes everything run smoother. When I found out I was pregnant I immediately started searching for photo ideas for newborn photos. We knew this was something that would be very special so I began searching for photographers and I came across some of Ambers photos and fell in love with her photography. I contacted her immediately and we spoke on the phone with ideas that we had and then my husband and I met up with her in her studio to discuss further. We immediately booked both our maternity session and our newborn session with her. The maternity session was fantastic, she has several beautiful locations to choose from and she even has a website with a variety of dresses that she will purchase for you to wear for the shoot if you choose to do so. These photos came out wonderful and had so much fun doing them. Once the baby arrived we contacted Amber and booked a date to do our sons photos. This was such a nice and relaxing morning. It was hard to give Amber only 5 stars because she is without question a 10. We used Amber for our newborn photographs this past fall. We were originally drawn to Amber by her digital photography work and how it sets her apart from nearly every other photographer in the state. From the very start Amber was professional, quick to respond and truly invested in figuring out our style, personalities, likes and dislikes. Her wide variety of props and supplies is extremely versatile and accommodating to every style. The pride and dedication she puts into her work is hard to find these days not to mention she is literally the sweetest thing! I can honestly say she was just as excited as we were and will go above and beyond for the “perfect shot.” Now if you think all of that is impressive, wait till you see her with your baby!!! Amber is the ultimate baby whisperer!!!! To this day, we still talk about how she was with our sweet and sassy Scorpio. Our little one was extremely fussy and colicky but once Amber took her my jaw nearly hit the floor. Not only was she able to get her to sleep, she successfully changed her wardrobe, props and positions at least a dozen times without a flinch. We brought our son on 3/17/22 to take his newborn photos with Amber and it was the BEST experience! She let me know exactly what to expect, what to bring and how to prepare for the session ahead of time and once we were there, she handled Everything, while we relaxed in the waiting area with some breakfast snacks and coffee. She had extra baby wipes and baby bottle warmer, odds and ends in case we forgot to bring something. She had TONS of cute outfits for baby too to choose from. Absolutely the most professional, efficient experience possible.I was looking to book newborn photos and a specific style of maternity photo. I contacted several photographers, but wasn’t convinced they could deliver. Plus, they were MUCH more expensive with a minimum spend requirement. We immediately booked both our maternity session and our newborn session with her. The maternity session was fantastic, she has several beautiful locations to choose from and she even has a website with a variety of dresses that she will purchase for you to wear for the shoot if you choose to do so. These photos came out wonderful and had so much fun doing them. Once the baby arrived we contacted Amber and booked a date to do our sons photos. This was such a nice and relaxing morning. Amber wrapped and posed our son into the cutest poses while my husband and I were able to just sit and relax with calming music as she did her thing. Amber is so patient and has so many tricks of calming the baby as she poses, wraps, unwraps and takes these photos. She is incredibly talented and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!!! When the photos were complete we were absolutely blown away by the photographs! They were perfect in every way! Amber exceeded our expectations in more ways than one and we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a newborn baby photographer. Amber was professional and amazing to work with. Her studio is very organized and baby outfits/accessories are beautiful. She was patient and had a magic touch with my daughter and she stayed very calm the whole time and managed to get lots of good photos. Amber was extremely easy to get along with and she was wonderful with my parent-in-laws as well. Not only that, she also provided refreshments during the session. It was hard to give Amber only 5 stars because she is without question a 10. We used Amber for our newborn photographs this past fall. We were originally drawn to Amber by her digital photography work and how it sets her apart from nearly every other photographer in the state. From the very start Amber was professional, quick to respond and truly invested in figuring out our style, personalities, likes and dislikes. Her wide variety of props and supplies is extremely versatile and accommodating to every style. The pride and dedication she puts into her work is hard to find these days not to mention she is literally the sweetest thing! I can honestly say she was just as excited as we were and will go above and beyond for the “perfect shot.” Now if you think all of that is impressive, wait till you see her with your baby!!! Amber is the ultimate baby whisperer!!!! To this day, we still talk about how she was with our sweet and sassy Scorpio. Our little one was extremely fussy and colicky but once Amber took her my jaw nearly hit the floor. Not only was she able to get her to sleep, she successfully changed her wardrobe, props and positions at least a dozen times without a flinch. Side note for mamas, When it comes to Ambers work, postpartum and sleep deprived?? You would never know in her photos!!! My husband and I honestly admire the photos hanging on our wall every single day! We will continue to use Amber for years to come to photograph our little ones! We LOVED working with Amber at One Big Happy Photo!! Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she is responsive, helpful and a baby whisperer!! We were amazed at how she got Aria to stay calm and sleepy during her whole session!! She was also so patient with us as we made decisions. We got to look at all the props before the session so that we could decide exactly what style and photos we would like to have (so many options to choose from!). There isn't anyone else around us who offers the styles and really unique options that she does!! Her studio is also very clean and private so you get all her attention during your session. Amber is a very talented photographer and did an amazing job taking pictures of my family of 5. We have 3 kids under the age of 4, and I couldn't believe the quality of pictures that she took. Her rates are definitely high, but I would rather pay for a few high quality pictures rather than own digital rights to a photoshoot that doesn't have her priceless ability to edit the photos and make them shine!!
