Romantic Maternity Photos

Mom and Dad are welcoming their first baby into the world, and they could not be more excited. Except maybe when their little one finally enters the world because then they will finally know if they are going to be raising a little boy or a little girl! They both want to wait to find out what they are having until the baby arrives, but I could tell the anticipation was getting to them! They are so excited to meet him or her, and I was so excited to meet these first time parents!

Colorful Heritage

When Mom, Dad, and I started brainstorming ideas for the maternity session, they shared some with me about their heritage and how they wanted that to be displayed throughout the photographs. Both Mom and Dad are originally from India, so they wanted to use a lot of color in their photographs. Speaking of color, Mom wore 2 dresses from my collection to add some perfect pops of color and to give her different looks.

We shot the session in a local park which really ramped up the color aspect as well. The rich greens of the grass and trees were stunning with little pops of red from some blooms and other foliage. We were able to get a lot of different backgrounds and poses by walking around the park, and we found so many beautiful spots to stop and snap some absolutely beautiful images. 

I absolutely love the photo of Mom and Dad sitting on the grass with the rock walls behind them. You can barely make out a rock gazebo structure in the back as well. It is just so whimsy and serene; it is absolutely lovely. And doesn’t Mom look lovely standing in front of the pond, holding her belly, and thinking about how wonderful it will be when her baby is finally here? I can’t wait to meet your little angel!
