Jennah ~ Simple & Feminine Newborn Photo Shoot

Welcome to the world, Baby Jennah! Jennah is this couple’s first baby, and they were so excited for her newborn photography session. She was wide awake for a good portion of her session as she was dealing with some spitting up, but aside from that, she was pretty comfortable. Until the very end, that is. She decided that this modeling stuff just was not fun anymore. In efforts to be able to get Mom and Dad the best newborn pictures we could, I offered to let them come back for the rest of the shoot. Mom brought her back a week later to create the last 5 photographs that we needed to capture in order to complete their gallery, and I could not have been more please with how they turned out. 

They wanted really simple photographs that would highlight the newness and how perfect their darling girl is. We went with subtle hues and soft colors such as cream, baby pink, and muted brown. Jennah wore a really simple yet elegant oatmeal-colored swaddle, and her array of headbands were so cute and feminine. I love the floral details in them and the little touches of pearls here and there. 

I love the picture of Jennah sleeping with the stuffed bunnies. The way she is holding her hands looks like she might be having a grand adventure with her new pals in her dreams. Even more so, the picture of Mom holding Baby Jennah is so sweet. I was so glad I was able to capture such a tender moment between Mom and Daughter. While Jennah did struggle with an upset tummy, you’d never know it by these pictures. She looks so serene in all of them. Even the ones in which she was awake, her big curious eyes are striking and beautiful. You can see just how curious she was about her surroundings, and I hope that curiosity never fades.
