I’ve Got a Brother!
I just love it when I arrive at a family’s home for their newborn session and am greeted by a very sweet 2-year-old. This little beauty was a little cautious at first but was full of love for her new baby brother. She kept me on my toes while she was there.
This adorable red-headed newborn baby boy was so happy to just take a nap. We had played with him for so long with his family, that he just settled in with a smile once we let him rest.
Mom was so wonderful with her new little man. A bit tired from working double duty all night, and now during the day, she looks absolutely radiant here. Every time her baby boy got in her arms, though, all he wanted to do was nurse.

Sometimes we forget just how small our little newborns are. Here, resting in a sea of a blue blanket, this little cherub sleeps, perfect in every way.
Our hands show our progression through life just as much as our faces do. Mom and Dad’s young hands and the smallness of the hands of their children will change rapidly over the years. Hopefully, they will take many more images just like this one as they age and grow.
Sharing a nap with a friend, especially one that doesn’t move and kick you, can feel so wonderful and safe. Photos of newborns are so peaceful. Wow, now I’m yawning!
Mom told me that little daisy-top here loves her brother so much she sometimes over-loves him. But in Momma’s arms, with Daddy helping her out, this was a perfectly sweet “love you” kiss.
