Rory ~ Newborn session with Toddler
This is little Rory with his big sister Abby. I’ve been photographing Abby since she was a newborn, so I was thrilled when Mom called to schedule Rory’s newborn session. Of course, this time it was a bit different since now we would be doing a newborn session with a toddler as well.
As you can imagine, Rory was an absolute champ. So happy to be cuddled up and resting, he was just 7 days old here.
Abby was super excited to have a new baby brother. Mom calls this smile her “cheese” face, and it shows off just how adorable she is. Rory was so chilled out that Dad was able to hold him in the palm of his hand.
Rory was 6lbs, 6 oz at birth and he arrived 4 weeks early. But he was perfectly “baked” so no need to stay in the oven any longer. He even had adorable newborn rolls.
Here’s that cute “cheese” face again. Abby was just big enough to fit Rory, all snuggled in my posie, up next to her tummy.
Rory was so new he easily curled up into this womb-like pose and slept soundly in my bowl of fluff.
Abby was enjoying this cuddle from her Momma. She’s having to share her parents now, so these extra bits of love mean so much.
Rory really enjoyed being swaddled and tucked right down into this cream bowl. Mom liked this photograph so much that she put it on the cover of his new baby album.

So proud of her new little boy, Mom was all smiles with him tucked up in her arms. Rory was just about to wake up here and need a snack.
All curled up, Rory fits perfectly in his mother’s hands. Amazing to think that one day, Rory’s hands will be bigger than these hands that he fits inside of today.
And here are the beautiful family all together. Perfectly balanced and rounded out in every way. I look forward to watching Rory grow, just as Abby has, and seeing them both become amazing people.
