McKenna ~ Creative Newborn Photography

McKenna’s parents were on the hunt for a photographer for their baby girl’s newborn photographs. They wanted pictures that were colorful and lively and unique. They came across my photographs and knew they had found their photographer. Even though they live two hours away, they had fallen in love with the style of newborn photography that I provide, full of color, emotion, and creativity, so they made the drive to my studio.

Mom and Dad love the color blue and wanted to make sure we incorporated it into her session. I was so glad that we got to use blue in so many backdrops. The photos of McKenna napping in her blue floral headband are so beautiful. I love how tranquil she looks. The photograph of the blue with yellow flowers is one of my favorites as well. Mom also wanted to use yellow to symbolize her Vietnamese culture. We were able to use both those colors in this picture with her sleeping in a sweet nest. We were able to use yellow again with her sweet linen swaddle and floral background with her resting on a woolen tuft. 

They absolutely loved the berry photograph and wanted to be able to use those photos for the holidays. The holly berries are such a bold pop of red that just screams ‘Happy Holidays!’ The rich red and stark white complement each other so well. Her delicate linen swaddle and tiny floral headband provide such a feminine touch. I love how we were able to use blue again to create another holiday photo. The glittery snowflakes and icy blue are so fun and her fuzzy white onesie makes her look like a little snow bunny! McKenna’s parents were so great to work with and are such kind people, and I just loved creating these photographs for them!
