1 Year Old Photoshoot

I always love getting creative and thinking outside the box for photo sessions when families want their portraits to be unique. I especially love it when my clients are creative too, and we can work as a team to put together amazingly personalized photos. Luckily for me, baby Enzo’s mom enjoys putting her creativity to use too! So together, we came up with this Italian 1 year baby photoshoot.

I was blessed to work with this amazingly sweet and fun family for Enzo’s newborn photos, so when they called me to schedule their little boy’s one-year portraits, I couldn’t wait to reconnect. Unsurprisingly, little Enzo has developed just as bubbly of a personality as his parents, so the entire session was filled with laughter.

We started the 1 year baby photoshoot outside because the spring colors created a stunning backdrop. I still can’t get over how adorable Enzo looked in his little bow tie and suspenders, and the spring background made him look perfectly prepared for an impromptu garden party.

We didn’t quite get the warmth of spring on that day, though, so we were all happy to retreat to the inside of the studio for the rest of Enzo’s portraits. His glee didn’t fade a bit, so we were able to capture fantastic smiles from Enzo and his proud parents in their family photos.

Spaghetti Smash

My favorite part of this 1 year baby photoshoot, though, may have been the cake smash – which wasn’t a cake smash at all. Instead of a cake smash, Mom wanted to do a spaghetti smash to pay tribute to the family’s Italian heritage and to pair with one of Enzo’s newborn photos inside a spaghetti pot. It was unique to their family and it turned out perfectly!
