New England is known the world over for colorful fall leaves, and visitors come from across the country and around the world to see natural landscapes that look like they’ve been pulled from calendars and postcards. It’s not a surprise, then, that so many of my autumn clients want their photoshoots in the great colorful outdoors.

Sunset Fall Foliage Maternity Photos

This beautiful couple appreciates the fall foliage more than most. They’re originally from a region of India that is green all year round. As nice as that might sound to us North easterners during icy winters, we can’t deny our autumns hold a special glow and this couple was thrilled to put it to good use in their maternity photo session. I’d say that we certainly captured that fall majesty in these photos!

Still, I get the feeling that no kind of weather could dampen this couple’s excitement to start their family. They’re overjoyed to be expecting their first child, a baby girl. You can easily see Mom’s ecstatic glow in her photos, and especially in this natural setting, she looks like an absolute goddess.

Throughout the shoot, it was abundantly clear that Dad, too, is thrilled and eager to meet his new daughter. He was so sweet to my “lighting assistant” (AKA my son) that I can already picture what an amazing dad he’ll be. His tenderness in his photos was also incredibly touching, and it’s easy to see how much he truly treasures his budding new family.
