Adorable Newborn Composite Session

Lilianne’s parents are the kindest couple! Lilianne is the first child for them as a couple, but Lilianne’s mother has four other children all in their teens. They wanted to be surprised by the gender of their baby, and they were thrilled to have a baby girl. Both of Lilianne’s parents are deaf, so communicating with them was a bit challenging as I don’t know sign language. However, they were incredibly patient with me. Armed with a pad of paper and, at times, relying on hand gestures, the consultation and newborn photography session were a success, and we got along great!

They loved my composites, so they wanted them for their baby. Because they were so delighted to have a baby girl, we went with all things feminine: purple and pink hues, floral accents, and soft fabrics both plush and delicate.  And of course cupcakes! Lilianne looked so precious wrapped up so tiny in her swaddles. Her miniature floral headbands made her lovely little face so darling.

The whimsical butterfly is by far one of my favorite pictures of the day. It’s such a perfect combination of all the feminine details into one beautiful photograph. Sleeping through most of the previous photos, I was delighted that we got to see Lilianne’s bright and alert eyes for this one.

For pictures with mom and dad, it was time for Lilianne to have a wardrobe change. She was dressed in such an elegant, frilly lilac dress. Paired with another floral headband to match, she looked absolutely lovely. Seeing their love for Lilianne as they held her and smiled so wild was so rewarding. 

Lilianne was absolutely perfect for her entire newborn session, and her photographs turned out amazing. I wanted to make sure that Lilianne’s photographs were everything that her parents were hoping for, and I couldn’t be happier with the result!
