Autumn Portraits

Most of us have a favorite season or at least a season we like a bit better than the others. Maybe you love warm summer evenings, beautiful fall scenery, cozy pajamas in the winter, or optimistic spring days. When I first spoke with Hadley’s mom-to-be, she was already in love with autumn and excited to feature the season in her maternity and newborn photos alike.

When I met Mom and Dad for their maternity session, it was clear why: they embodied the warmth and family-focused atmosphere that is such an important part of fall, during the Thanksgiving season and beyond. Mom’s maternity session was a gorgeous “golden hour” photoshoot. She and Dad both fit perfectly into the fall scenery, and I could see how excited they were to become a family of three.

After Hadley arrived and we scheduled her newborn family photography session, I couldn’t wait to reconnect with Mom and Dad and meet baby Hadley. These new parents have so much love for their new baby girl, and it was such a pleasure to watch the three of them interacting so sweetly together.

Sweet, Sleepy Pictures

Because it was still fall when Hadley made her debut into the world, we continued the autumn theme for her newborn photos. She was such a dream throughout the session, and she wanted to be part of the action so badly! She fought sleep so hard and we captured some cute photos of her adorable eyes, but when she finally let her eyes rest, we got the sweet sleepy photos that Mom and Dad were excited to have as well.

When all was said and done, we ended up with a beautiful, unified gallery for Mom and Dad to forever remember the before-and-after moments of the time they welcomed their baby girl.
