Ethan ~ Baby Boy Newborn Photos

I can’t say enough about how much I love my job! Every day I get to see families filled with love, little kids with giggles galore, and brand-new babies who can light up a room even as they sleep. Every moment is just filled with so much happiness—yes, even when the kiddos are a little upset. The gloomy evening news has nothing on the joy that I see in my studio every day, and it reminds me of how important family truly is and how powerful the laugh of a child can be.

I went into photography so that I could capture this joy and these sweet, simple moments together. They’re definitely worth documenting. I have never worked with this family before, but the father’s twin sister recommended me after they had their newborn and family photographs done. (With the addition of little Ethan, there will be lots of fun cousin times, for sure!)

When Mom and Dad reached out to me, I could not wait to meet them and their handsome little man, Ethan. And sure enough, when they walked in with their sleeping boy, I instantly fell in love with tiny cheeks and sweet sleepy eyes. He is absolutely adorable. Ethan also has a beautiful big sister named Emma who already loves her new role. She was so sweet to Ethan as they took photos together. She wrapped her little arms around him and snuggled him close. Precious!

Mom and Dad prefer simpler themes for photographs, so for Ethan, I kept it very classic with greys and blues. I really love the dark grey because of how much it makes their faces and features pop. The family loves boating and goes out every chance they get, so I created the sleeping baby on a boat photo for fun. I love this collection of family portraits, and I hope they do, too! What a beautiful family!
