Madison ~ Baby Girl Newborn Photos

This sleepy-eyed beauty looked like a delicate rose petal during her newborn shoot. Madison was born this past fall (hence the little pumpkin peeking out of her swaddling blanket), and Mom and Dad wanted to capture those first magical moments in the days following her birth. They loved the sweet, feminine set ups, which were perfect for this little angel.

Sleeping Like a Baby

I think my favorite photo is the one of her snoozing inside the soft peony and rose wreath. We used lots of soft textures, which made her snuggle in and doze even harder—I don’t know if anything could wake this little one! But nothing could be quite as soft as those sweet, rosy cheeks. I do many newborn shoots every year, but it truly never gets old. My heart floods with warmth each time I see another tiny bundle of joy.

When I asked Mom and Dad what they wanted most out of this session, they explained that they wanted to capture the love they have for baby Madison so they could treasure those photos for years to come. As a preschool teacher, Mom knows very well how fast this time goes. With all of the sleepless nights and constant feedings, sometimes it’s hard to vividly remember the tiny toes, little coos, and sleepy yawns as they all blur together. That’s what I love so much about photography and why I got into it in the first place. I’m also a mother of four (talk about a whirlwind), so I wanted a way to make those memories last forever. I love turning them into beautiful memoirs that last a lifetime!
