Giulia ~ Personalized Newborn Session with Hockey and Cranberries
Meet Miss Giulia. She was a real champ and slept for most of her newborn photography session. Mom and Dad wanted to name her something unique, so the spelling of her name is Italian.
Giulia gave me a few small smiles early on. I think she really liked being wrapped up, all toasty and warm.
Mom was all smiles when holding her baby girl.
Mom told me that her favorite color is yellow and that Giulia’s room was decorated in yellows with touches of green. So putting Giulia in a basket surrounded by complimentary colors seemed perfect.
Dad is a big hockey fan and really wanted a photograph of his little girl with his jersey. We thought we could do something creative with Giulia lying on the jersey, but she was just not having it. So, Dad put on the jersey and we placed Guilia’s first pair of ice skates on her little feet. Now she was happy.
Mom told me that one of Giulia’s grandmothers was a cranberry bog farmer. Lucky for me, I had these sparkling red cranberries just tucked away. Out came my driftwood bowl and some accessories, and Giulia and the cranberries made their debut.
When Dad was little, he had a toy raccoon that was special to him. It seemed only fitting for Giulia to get her own raccoon, just like Dad. Her little smile tells you that she likes her raccoon bedtime buddy.
Once she was truly fast asleep and dreaming, I captured this image of Giulia asleep in a little bed. She looks exactly like a fairytale princess surrounded by all of these pastel roses.
Once again all snuggled up in a bowl of comfy fluff. Giulia was as peaceful as they come.
And finally, all of the family together. Giulia had fantastic eye contact for someone so young and Mom and Dad couldn’t be more proud.
