When I was young, I used to think having twins would be fun. Now that I have kids, I know that it would be fun. . . and wild and down right bedlam! Well, this Momma has been given the gift of patience in spades because her 6 month-old twins and 5 year-old daughter kept her hoping the entire time we spent together. When I arrived she was busy pumping milk while assembling a toy and never missed a beat. Even when the noise level was almost palpable, Mom never once got frustrated or upset. I loved watching her because you could tell she was totally enjoying every minute of her kids. She knows what a blessing they are because she had to wait a long time for them all. Here’s hoping that she can look back at today and remember the joy she felt for years to come.
This little girl was all giggles and smiles and amazingly helpful with her baby brother and sister. Isn’t she gorgeous! This little baby was so watchful and sweet. His big sister loved spoiling him with attention. The littlest sister was so happy to cuddle up with this warm, fuzzy blanket after a very chilly bath. But that is just what happens when you have to wait your turn to be taken out and dressed. She is obviously happy as a clam now.Mealtime is double duty for this Momma, but her system seems to work perfectly. Both of these little babies fell sound asleep shortly after this was taken.I just love how you can look from face to face in this image and see who has the same nose or eyes and how they all blend together as siblings. It would be great to recreate this image again, over and over, as they get older. Is there anything sweeter that the little toes and fingers of a baby? Multiply that by two and I can offer you a promise that there isn’t. These little guys hadn’t started walking yet either so their feet were still silky soft and begging to be kissed.I wanted to get the three kids as close as possible in this picture, and I just love how it turned out. Again, all of their eyes on the same plane but with the features flipped, you spend more time looking at each face.I love the nature feel of this family portrait. Big sister is cuddling and protecting her baby brother while Momma keeps the mover and shaker of the bunch safe and sound in her lap. The totally neutral background really brings your eye to what’s important.
