Deployed Military Newborn Photo

When a family finds out that a new bundle of joy will be joining them, they always dream about the early days of their baby’s life and how much fun it will be to finally meet their new child. Of course, life sometimes has other plans, and the timing doesn’t always happen the way we expect.

That was the case for baby Quinn. Her dad is in the military, and he was deployed when she was born. This meant that we wouldn’t be able to have Dad’s proud smile in Quinn’s newborn photos, but this little girl’s strong mom was determined not to let that stop her from giving her baby beautiful newborn portraits. So, with that in mind, we booked Quinn’s newborn photos as soon as we finished Mom’s maternity portraits.

For Quinn’s photos, we went all-in on frilly pink girly cuteness. Quinn looks naturally and effortlessly beautiful surrounded by delicate flowers and classic pinks and purples. I’m in love with the portrait of Quinn surrounded by ballerinas, and her photo against the fun and colorful donut background brings out every ounce of her sweetness.

Of course, little Quinn isn’t just sweet – she has a healthy side of spice, too! Throughout her session, she always let me know when she wasn’t a fan of what I had planned, and I must say that she already knows how to command a room! Looks like she might have her dad’s bravery and her mom’s confidence already.

Military Uniform Newborn Picture

Even though Dad couldn’t be at the photo session, we made sure that he wasn’t missing from Quinn’s first portraits. We featured his Air Force uniform in one of Quinn’s photos, and I’m sure it will be something she’ll treasure forever. Until Dad gets home, Quinn’s grandmother has stepped in to help Mom through the challenges of the newborn days. I was thrilled that she came along to the photo session so we could honor her in a portrait as well.
