Family Photographs

So many people have the best intentions for preserving their families’ memories with regular photo sessions. Then life happens. Time flies by when you’re caring for a young child because each day brings such a busy schedule, and with two or three kids, life only gets more hectic. Before you know it, your kids are growing up before your eyes and you don’t have photos to mark their milestones.

That was exactly the struggle that Ellie, Nate, and Eva’s family had. They have such a beautiful, happy young family, and as much as their presence filled their home, they had no family photos to hang on the walls.

That’s why a beloved aunt reached out to me to gift them a photo session for the holidays. To be sure that it was safe to have a session in due to COVID-19, Mom and Dad waited until the following fall for their session. It may have been a long way, but it surely paid off!

Sunset Portraits

When I met up with Mom, Dad, Ellie, Nate, and Eva at a local walking trail, we were all happy to see that the sunset was giving us perfect lighting to showcase the warmth this family exudes. Mom did a fantastic job of styling everyone for the session, and the serene setting complements them all perfectly.

Mom and Dad’s top priorities were to have some photos of the entire family as well as a few sweet portraits of the siblings together. They hadn’t had a professional photo taken of themselves since their wedding either, so we made sure Mom and Dad had their own photo as well. I’m thrilled that I was able to help this family finally take some time out and get portraits they’ll treasure in the years to come.
