Cole ~ Glastonbury Maternity & Family Photographer

Anytime I see a returning family’s name pop up in my messages or on my phone I get so excited! It’s like getting a call from a friend you haven’t seen in ages. You can’t wait to catch up, hear their voice, and find out what’s been going on in their life since you last saw each other. And it’s always amazing to see how much their kids have grown and how their little personalities have developed. As a photographer, I have the privilege of seeing many families and their little ones grow over the years. It really is one of the biggest pleasures of the job.

3-in-1 Photoshoot!

So, when I heard that it was time to do Cole’s 2 year old photography session, I couldn’t wait to meet up with them and hear their stories from the past year. I’ve been photographing Cole, their first child, since he was a newborn. Just look at that very handsome blue-eyed guy! He is so special, and it seems like he grew a foot since I last saw him. He was SO good during the session – definitely a natural in front of the camera. The leaves seemed extra vibrant this past fall (or maybe it was the contrast with Cole’s stunning eyes), and we had fun tossing them up and capturing as many photos as possible as they fell back down. I think that was Cole’s favorite part of the shoot.

As you can see, this session served multiple purposes: we captured Cole’s 2-year photos as well as family and maternity pictures! Who knew you could fit so many milestones into one shoot? I can’t believe that Little Sister will be arriving any day now. I can’t wait to meet her!

Catching up with Friends

Even in our short time together, I loved catching up with this family. Mom is a ballet dancer and teaches dance at Glastonbury Dance Center. She looks stunning as ever with her growing bump. (You can see where Cole got those striking blue eyes.) And Dad is THE sweetest, kindest dad and husband ever. He knows just what to say and do to make his lovely wife smile and Cole erupt in giggles. I’m so happy for this family and can’t wait to see them again soon with the birth of their little girl.
