A Newborn Session Full of Love, Beauty, and Family Connection ~ Anahita

At One Big Happy Photo, every newborn session is more than just a photoshoot—it’s a celebration of life, love, and the beauty of growing families. When this sweet family returned to our Glastonbury, CT studio to mark the arrival of their second daughter, Anahita, I knew it was going to be a special day. Big sister Aarya, now four years old, was waiting at home to be part of something truly memorable.

As a luxury newborn photographer in Glastonbury CT, I aim to create artwork that families will treasure forever. Each portrait is styled to highlight the unique features and personalities of the little ones—and this session was no exception.

A Gentle Start: Simple Portraits of Anahita

The session began with a series of soft, serene photographs of Anahita. In the first image, she is wrapped in a warm mauve swaddle, resting peacefully on a cream furry blanket. The color palette was subtle but made her delicate features stand out beautifully.

Next, we captured two portraits of Anahita lying on her side. In one, she is dressed in soft peach tones adorned with pearls—a sweet, timeless look. In another, she wears a gray lace dress, her tiny hands curled under her cheek as she sleeps peacefully against a rich brown backdrop. These images focused on natural textures and tones to keep the spotlight on Anahita’s calm, angelic presence.

 

Dreamy Composites: Bringing Magic to the Moment

To add an artistic touch to the session, we included two creative composite portraits. In the first, Anahita is pictured lying in a rustic wooden bowl surrounded by pink and peach hues and soft white florals. Her eyes are wide open, full of curiosity and light.

In the second, Anahita is nestled with a teddy bear in the same rustic bowl. Painted gold flowers and warm earthy tones frame the scene. Her bold, expressive eyes are the heart of the picture, drawing you into her peaceful little world.

Woodland Dreams: A Forest Portrait

One of my favorite portraits from this session shows Anahita sleeping on a miniature wooden bed placed within a dreamy forest setting. Green vines surround her, and she wears a light blush onesie adorned with tiny floral details. This portrait feels like a peaceful fairytale—serene, magical, and full of warmth.

A Loving Family of Four

The final set of portraits focuses on the family’s deep connection. In one picture, Aarya wraps her arms gently around her baby sister. The love in her expression is absolutely beautiful.

We also created three family portraits. The first, in black and white, shows everyone gathered around Anahita, their heads bowed in adoration. The simplicity of black and white allows the emotion to shine through.

In the next, a traditional studio-style portrait places the family against a warm brown background. Their closeness and joy radiate from the picture.

Finally, we captured a relaxed lifestyle portrait of the family sitting together on a bed, dressed in coordinated blue outfits. This scene felt cozy and real—a perfect representation of the life they’re building together.
