This family was the sweetest! Mom and Dad were welcoming a new baby boy to their family, and could hardly contain their excitement. Cody’s mom was anticipating his arrival so we could do his newborn photographs. She had seen my work and was so excited to get creative photographs done. I was so happy when she contacted me. One of my favorite parts of being a newborn photographer is getting to document the many types of families and cultures of my clients. This is a blended family, which I love so much, because Mom and Dad do an amazing job of loving each of their kids, even if they haven’t always been a part of their lives. Dad has two older kids from his first marriage, and Mom and Dad are currently engaged to be married. These two are such a precious pair, and they are thrilled to be expanding their family.

Both of the older siblings were so excited to hold their new brother. They did a great job with handling the new baby, and I can already tell that they will be great older brothers and sisters. And those eyes are to die for! These kids are adorable, and look precious in the photos. I loved the one where they are snuggled up to their baby brother, with Cody laying in between them. So sweet. 

Nautical Newborn Photographs

I love to set up themed sessions and get a bit creative. This family loves to go boating so we incorporated some nautical photographs into their session. With a “welcome aboard” buoy, a small boat for Cody to lay in, and nautical color schemes, I think we met Mom and Dad’s vision of what they wanted the session to look like. Cody was sweet and easy to work with, which gave us plenty of time and opportunity to switch up the props and poses. We ended the session with Mom and Dad holding baby Cody. This session was so much fun, and I am so happy for this family. Congrats on the new little one!
