Elizabeth ~ Newborn Baby Girl Makes Four

I love how life loves to surprise us. These two parents are incredible people: Mom is a trauma surgeon, and Dad is a criminal lawyer. Their jobs are hard and demanding, but they both have a passion for what they do. Because of their careers, they originally did not plan on having kids. After all, when they were not working, they wanted to have quality time left over for each other.

However, they could tell that something was missing. Even though they thought it didn’t make sense, they threw caution to the wind and became pregnant with their son. She was still in denial and questioning their decision until she was eighteen weeks along; but of course, as soon as sweet Christopher was born, they knew he was exactly what they needed. He was such a gift and brought so much joy to their family that they decided to grow their family even more.

Now introducing: baby Elizabeth! Their family now has a boy and a girl! I couldn’t be happier for them, and it was pretty clear during Elizabeth’s newborn session that they are over the moon to be a complete family of four. Their smiles were contagious throughout this heartwarming session.

They wanted simple photographs to really highlight this special time in their family, so we didn’t go overboard with the sets or add in any fancy themes. But, oh, are these photos dreamy! Big brother Christopher is so in love with his baby sister that he only stopped exploring the studio to hold her. In a rare awake moment, she stared up into her big brother’s face, and I just know this is the beginning of many years of companionship for these two siblings. Poor Elizabeth had some trouble keeping her milk down during the session, but you would never know it with how gorgeous her photos turned out! I think I’m just as in love as they are.
