I may love the artistic aspects of photography, but that passion doesn’t hold a candle to my love of getting to know blossoming new families and capture the special moments in their lives. As much as I enjoy connecting with every family I photograph, there are a few that have a special sentimentality.

That was the case for baby Navika’s newborn photos. Sadly, her sweet parents lost a baby girl a few years ago. This makes Navika a “rainbow baby” – a beautiful gift that comes after a deep loss. It was clear to see that Mom, Dad, and big brother cherish Navika like the true blessing that she is.

Vibrant Newborn Photographs

Mom and Dad came to me because they love the rich, vibrant colors and flowers I use in my photos. I happen to feel the same way, and I was thrilled to embrace that style for Navika’s newborn photos. We featured a collection of deep reds and delicate pinks for baby Navika, showcasing the beauty in her adorable newborn face.

As much as Mom and Dad showered their baby girl with love, my heart was so touched by Navika’s big brother, seven-year-old Atharv. He was so gentle and protective of his little sister, always wanting to make sure she was comfortable and safe. His face lit up when he held her, and I can tell already that he’s up to the tasks of treasuring and leading Navika like a wonderful older sibling.

Throughout our session, Mom and Dad were absolutely glowing with joy and pride. It’s clear to see that little Navika is a bright light in their lives, and I feel truly privileged to be able to capture this special new chapter in their family’s story.
