Meet Miss Nihira. She was the calmest little newborn baby girl that I have ever worked with. Now, she was a month old when the family was ready to do her newborn photography session, so she had been around a while and wasn’t uncomfortable in her environment. But there was a complete peace about her that was so surprising and comforting to work with.
Mom and Dad were so excited when I met them at their home for their maternity photography session several weeks before Nihira arrived. It had been snowing outside and was bitterly cold. But none of that mattered because their love for each other and their unborn daughter was so evident in their photographs.
Mom got to enjoy the sweetest cuddle with her little one and we even caught a smile.
With a head full of hair and the most beautiful lips you’ve ever seen, Nihira was a complete darling. In this position, all she wanted to do was curl her legs up under her tummy.
When it was time to take Dad’s photos with Nihira, she was wide awake. She didn’t fuss or act unhappy at all, but she kept a very curious look like she was studying everything around her.
Mom wanted to use vibrant colors for Nihira’s newborn photo session, and I was completely thrilled! Most people lean towards very neutral palates, but as you can see, rich colors like these are gorgeous in photos.
All snuggled up in this potato sack pose, the whole family just laughed with joy and said “awwwww” when they saw how cute Nihira looked.
The new center of their world, this beautiful tapestry seemed the perfect setting for little Nihira.
Dressed in their traditional clothing, Mom, Dad and little Nihira got a chance to enjoy their first family photos together.
Back asleep and looking so peaceful, Nihira just spent her morning in dreams.
In her own version of the lotus position, Nihira ended her session all bundled up and wearing fantastic jewelry!
