Delicate Pink Newborn Portraits

When a family finds out they’re having a baby, everyone wants the same outcome: a healthy, happy baby. Still, when they find out their baby’s gender, it’s always a blessing to see them embrace the idea of their soon-arriving boy or girl.

This family was so excited to welcome their little girl that their joy was contagious. Mom was thrilled to give her daughter all things pink and girly, so naturally, she opted for a delicate and feminine style for Elliana’s newborn photos.

Fortunately, this was in my wheelhouse as a newborn baby photographer who’s seen my fair share of girly girls. To start, we played with floral backgrounds to highlight Elliana as the natural beauty she is. Her gallery wouldn’t have been complete without lace and pearls, of course, and we even snapped a perfect photo on a unique abstract pink background.

Throughout the entire session, Mom and Dad were beaming over their sweet little girl, and it shows through in their photos with Elliana. The bond between mother and daughter is already clear in their portraits, and it’s difficult to tell which is more touching: that thriving bond or the adorable image of Elliana’s tall, masculine dad cradling his tiny daughter in such a gentle yet protective way. He was even happy to play along with the feminine aesthetic of the photo session by dressing in pink to complement his girls.

It was easy to see from the moment I met this budding family that Elliana is a lucky girl. She’s joining the world with loving, caring parents who treasure her above all else, and I was honored to help them commemorate this precious time in their lives.
