Studio Maternity Photos Glastonbury CT

As every parent knows, there’s so much to do in the last weeks of a pregnancy, especially if you’re expecting your first child. There are supplies to buy, clothes to prepare, birth plans to finalize, and so much more. That’s why many of my clients treasure their maternity portraits so much – because it gives them an opportunity to take a break from all the preparations and appreciate their growing baby and this amazing time in their lives.

My client for this gallery wasn’t originally planning on getting maternity portraits. I had recently added some new maternity gowns to my growing collection that I couldn’t wait to use for future clients, and I needed a model to show how these gowns photographed. A colleague connected me with this gorgeous mom-to-be, and she was gracious enough to serve as my model.

We opted for simple in-studio backgrounds for these photos, but Mom and Dad were glowing so much with love for their little one that any background would have paled in comparison to them. They were so easy to work with and they have such a warm relationship that I had a great time getting to know them throughout the session.

These excited parents-to-be ultimately loved how their portraits turned out. They later welcomed a beautiful baby boy, and they’re now glad that they have lovely maternity photos to preserve that special time in their growing family’s life. It turned out to be a win for everyone!
