This brown eyed beauty was such a pleasure to photograph! Baby Nara came to my studio just after Valentine’s Day for her six-month-old milestone shoot. She previously booked with another photographer for newborn portraits but was disappointed to receive only eight photos. Mom was looking for some variety and color with a natural look, and I was confident as a CT baby photographer that we could give her the images she was hoping for of her baby girl.
The 6 month milestone
The often-overlooked half birthday is such a fun phase to capture in photographs. Babies are really starting to come into their own personalities, and many are learning to sit up and view the world from a whole new perspective. They want to observe and explore anything they can get their hands on, and their facial expressions are priceless at this stage.
Baby Nara looks like a baby straight out of a Gymboree catalogue. She has gorgeous, thick dark hair that curls at the ends and big, bright smiling eyes. Her rosy cheeks are pure perfection. Getting enough photos of this sweet girl definitely was not a challenge. In fact, I had to hold back. She kept giving me one joyful smile after another, and she was in such a happy mood. Nara did a fantastic job for being so young, and we made it through several outfit changes before the end of the shoot. We even captured a couple individual parent portraits as well as some stunning family photos.
These photos are great examples of outfit choices for both parents and baby. Nara looked like a little doll in her peachy romper, cream-colored dress and matching headband. The marigold crushed velvet dress fit her perfectly and added some fun texture to the photos. And the blue hues of Mom and Dad’s shirts complemented well.
I loved spending time with this special family and capturing such a milestone stage for little Nara. I hope to see them in my studio again soon!
