As a photographer, I have art in my veins, so I naturally love experimenting with fun, personalized, unique photo sessions. That’s one of the many reasons I enjoy working with this little family so much.

This is my third session with Greyson’s family. Their maternity shoot was stunning, between the sunrise glow, the rustic ruins, and the utter excitement on both Mom and Dad’s faces. We took an even more customized approach to Greyson’s newborn photos. The portraits highlighted all the passions Mom and Dad couldn’t wait to share with their son, from the great outdoors to horseback riding to Superman.

When they called me to schedule a baby photoshoot for 1-year-old Greyson, I couldn’t wait to talk about some fun ideas. We started with the classic baby pictures: little Greyson in his element, just lounging, playing with his parents, and having a great time. The entire family looked wonderful but Greyson’s amazing eyes may have been the VIP of the day. How perfect that his beautiful eyes match his name!

New Year’s Eve Portraits

Because Greyson was born on New Year’s Eve, Mom wanted to bring in that theme for some special portraits. They all dressed up in gorgeous evening wear and we turned the photo session into a party! The setting is so uniquely reminiscent of New Year’s Eve and perfectly fitting for a baby who helped his parents ring in the new year in such a special way.

Finally, we ended the session with a customary cake smash. I always love cake smash pictures, but somehow it’s so much cuter when the baby is decked out in formalwear and having a great time with his little celebration. I’m thrilled that we ended up with a gallery that truly showcases this family’s personality.
