Little Joseph is one lucky baby! He’s been born to a family who is absolutely thrilled to welcome him into their hearts and can’t wait to share their interests and passions with him. Luckily, I was able to capture some of their love and closeness in Joseph’s newborn session.

Truth be told, I was prepared for a workout before Joseph’s session because this big guy was born at more than ten pounds! Clearly, he’s starting his bodybuilding regimen for years of athletics at a very early age. Joseph made it easy on me, though, spending the session being adorably sleepy and just going with the flow. He only needed one quick snack break and then he was back to dreamland.

Mom and Dad wanted to incorporate blues and grays into the session, and it was a lovely color palette for the whole family. As stunning as baby Joseph is by himself, I love the shots of Mom and Dad cuddling their new son and cradling him gently like the precious gift that he is.

One of my favorite aspects of Joseph’s session, though, was the amount of personality and sentimentality that Mom and Dad brought into the photos. To commemorate their Italian heritage, we captured a sweet photo of Joseph surrounded by all the ingredients we’re sure he’ll be using to cook up delicious pasta in no time! Dad loves sports as well and can’t wait to teach his son the ropes, the photo of Joseph with a basketball is surely a foretelling of great memories ahead.

The most special photo, though, may have been the one featuring Joseph with the blocks bearing his name. He’s named after his maternal grandfather who passed away a few years ago, and he holds the medal that Grandpa used to wear around his neck every day. Mom and Dad were thrilled with their photos as the perfect way to start their baby boy’s life.
