Vibrant and Rich Newborn Photography

Sometimes you photograph a newborn and leave the session feeling like Muhammad Ali. “I am the best Newborn Photographer Ever!” Then you come down to earth, race back to your computer and swoon over the absolutely adorable images that you just captured. This session, with its deep colors and gorgeous lighting, created that feeling for me.Momma is a professional dancer and was absolutely stunning with her beautiful new son.Sleeping so peacefully, with his tiny toes peeking out from behind his arm. Only this new can we fold comfortably into positions like this.Having a moment with Daddy, these two were just cooing back and forth. Looks like his little boy got his eyelashes.Because one of the best parts of newborn photography is creating something unexpected, I was thrilled when I came upon this hidden cove on a recent family hike in Cotton Hollow. I took several images of it and painted several images together to get this composite newborn photo just right. Can’t tell you how happy I was when this image of a newborn baby sleeping in “Pixie Hollow” was complete.Since this family really wanted to maximize deep blues in their little dude’s portraits, I knitted this hat specifically for him to match his cozy blanket. Such a little prince!As all of my newborn sessions are done in the family’s home, family portraits can be a challenge since not many people want the clutter of their everyday life in the background. By including a simple fabric backdrop and some Photoshop magic, I was able to create a formal studio looking portrait for this family. Aren’t they adorable! (Dad’s got that Superman look)Finishing his session up much like we began, with a sweet teddy bear. Honestly, now you see why I felt like the best newborn photographer in CT!
