Avery & Owen ~ Boy Girl Twin Photo Session

Life was about to super busy for this expecting Mom when she called me to schedule a photography session for her soon-to-arrive newborn twins. She already had two beautiful girls at home – eight-year-old Ella and five-year-old Evie – and they were waiting to be surprised by what their twins would be! 

When Avery popped out, the doctor exclaimed, “It’s another girl!” giving Dad a sympathetic nod (although we all know he is over the moon with his sweet girls). But then Owen arrived shortly afterward, and they knew their family was complete. Dad will at least have one little guy in his corner when the girls overrule him with their cuteness.

Grandma couldn’t let this amazing time in their family go undocumented, so she offered to gift the session to them. The twins were so great – and so adorable! Owen was completely chilled out the entire session, while his sister Avery brought out a little sass to make sure everyone knew she was in charge. Watch out, big sisters! There’s a new baby girl in town. 

I especially love the photo with Owen in the hat and Avery cracking up. They reminded me of a little old couple. I can’t wait to see how their relationship develops over the years. Oh, and then there’s the photo with all four of the siblings together. It looks so dreamy, and the older sisters looked like angels! They are so very sweet, and they were eager to love on and care for “their” babies throughout the shoot. 

Grandma may have purchased this session as a gift, but to be honest, after seeing these photos, I think it was just as much for her. 😉 Grandbabies are a precious gift.
