There are so many days when I feel like I have the greatest job in the world. Not only do I spend my days playing with the fun art of photography, but I’m able to see one young family after another as they begin and grow in the epic journey of parenthood. Better yet, I have the honor of helping these families create the keepsakes they’ll forever use to treasure these milestones and important moments in their lives.

I felt every bit of that honor when I was working with this precious couple. From the moment I met them, I could tell how excited they were to meet their little one and shower him or her with love. And what better way to start that journey than with gorgeous portraits that mirrored their personalities?

Formal Maternity Portraits

For her photos, Mom wanted a formal, classical look, and I was excited to create some maternity portraits that genuinely highlighted the beauty of her pregnancy. Having an indoor session allowed us to have full control over the setting, and it resulted in some incredibly peaceful portraits.

Throughout the session, it was so sweet to watch Dad-to-be dote over Mom. He couldn’t wait for them to become a family of three, and it was clear to see how much he treasures Mom. I was so glad to be able to capture some of that love in the portraits, and I can’t help but be excited for their baby because they’ll be growing up in a home with so much love.

At the end of the day, we were able to create a stunning gallery of elegant, classy, sweet photos that Mom and Dad will value forever as they begin their journey of parenthood.
