Kai ~ Fabulous Fall Photos in CT

Kai just turned 10 months old and his mom just loves to get him photographed. For this session, she really wanted brightly colored leaves, a few smiles, and playful poses with the parents. Fall is such a beautiful time of year up here in Connecticut, so it was going to be perfect!

Most of the leaves were already off the trees, but we found some amazing spots and got exactly what this family was looking for. I just love the rustic railing of the bridge in the spot we found! It was such an unexpected detail that provided an added touch to the photos. For the other areas, we were able to bring some props that added a sense of fall. The colors in the blanket were so perfect to pick up the hues of the fallen leaves! The little wooden chair was a favorite of Kai’s. He looks so cute with it, especially in his denim coveralls! And get a load of that hat! Such a precious hipster detail for this little nugget!

We can’t forget about Mom and Dad! They had great wardrobes as well. Dall looked so handsome and fall-ish in his maroon sweater, and Mom rocked a lovely floral top with a cozy white knit cardigan. They looked like they could have just gotten done apple picking! Kai was a trooper, never complaining about the cold and giving us those grins and laughs they so wanted to capture. We ran most of the session to chase the light and to hurry up and get out of the cold. But that added a sense of fun for Kai! He seemed to soak up the energy and send it back to the camera! I absolutely love the picture of Dad and Kai laughing together! They are the sweetest little growing family!
