Formal Family Portraits ~ Family Photographer in CT

This family has the sweetest three little girls and Mom told me that they hadn’t had their photos taken in years. Their youngest is just 3 years old though, so I’m sure they’ve had other things occupying their time. But now that she was ready to get them in front of a camera again, she wanted to do something different. She wanted a formal family portrait that would complement their home decor. So she went shopping for beautiful dresses, and I got to work on creating a holiday-inspired backdrop. This family portrait is now hanging as a 30×40 inch canvas in their home.

This 7-year-old beauty was so graceful. You can see that she has left all babyness behind and is becoming a stunning young lady. She has the classic 2nd-grade smile right now though, with many baby teeth missing and the adult teeth just emerging, so she was self-conscious and decided to give me just a grin.

At 5 years old, this young lady was eager to please and very confident. She has her Daddy’s eyes and loved dancing with him (see that further down the page). I love that you can see the remnants of a manicure, which so many little girls her age show off.

The youngest of the bunch, their 3-year-old was spunky and loved to make faces at the camera. I brought out my “tickle monster” for this photo and captured a beautiful smile.

We even got a beautiful photograph of all the girls together sitting so sweetly.

I love getting one-on-one photographs with each child and parent as well so that everyone can feel special with Mom and Dad.

When you’re this tiny, Mom and Dad just pick you up. Such a sweet smile from all three of them.

Finally, we took a few portraits of just Mom and Dad together. So often the last photo many parents have with just the two of them is from their wedding. This photograph is one that all three girls and even the future grandchildren will cherish.
