Nara ~ One-Year Photos in Golden Light

If the eyes are the windows into a person’s soul, then this sweetie must have the most beautiful soul out there. Even at just one-year-old, baby Nara is so beautiful inside and out. This is the second time she and her parents have come to see me. Check out her six-month photo session to see just how much she has grown in the last few months. I was absolutely delighted that I would get to see them again, and the feeling must be mutual because they told me they loved the experience of working with me so much they just had to come back for more milestone photos (blushing over here)!

Now that Nara is one year old, her parents wanted to capture this special moment and the growth the first birthday symbolizes in their family. The one-year birthday is certainly a time to celebrate the birthday girl, but also a time to celebrate as a family. Those first twelve months are exciting and oh, so sweet, but they’re also hard! Introducing a baby into the world is no small task, and it comes with its fair share of late nights, unending feedings, tears, and worry. Nara’s parents are incredible. When you look at Nara’s smile, the sweet way she interacts with others, and the way she enjoys the beauty of the world around her, there’s no doubt she is so very loved.

Nara is a breeze to work with. This girl is always happy! Whether watching a butterfly go by, tasting her first small bites of birthday cake or playing with Mom and Dad, there was no shortage of smiles and laughter in this session.

I love that they brought along a traditional outfit to represent their Indian heritage. She looked precious in it, and the vibrant colors looked amazing against the natural outdoor backdrop. Oftentimes with a happy baby, that means lots of energy! Mom and Dad outdid themselves jumping and playing and being silly to keep Nara’s sparkly smile going throughout the session. And I don’t think they’ll regret it! Her images are amazing.
