Although it’s common for twins to arrive a little ahead of schedule, no one can anticipate exactly when and how they will make their grand debut. These two little beauties were born two months early. Hayley and Layla were both full of energy and as healthy as ever considering their very early arrival, but they still needed a little time in the NICU to finish developing with extra help close by. Mom contacted me shortly after they were release home, and when they were ready, they came to see me for their newborn portrait session. My assistant Nicole and I had been counting down the days until I got to see their pretty faces! I always have so much fun with twins because it’s not something you experience every day.
Mom wanted to capture this precious time with her girls and brand-new family of four with simple photographs highlighting all of their adorable newborn attributes.
These girls are just the sweetest. I know juggling two newborns is quite a task, but these two couldn’t be any cuter, making this sleepless phase a little easier. The girls loved snuggling together. (Check out that priceless picture of the two of them dozing side-by-side in a doll bed!) Both babies did great, and this session was easy. The mauve, blush, and lavender hues were perfect for these baby girls.
I made sure to capture all of their tiny features, angelic faces, and beautiful fingers – all of the little details parents never want to forget. I can’t encourage new parents enough to document these gorgeous newborn features while you can! Even just a month from now, they will look so different.
After getting a few individual shots of Hayley and Layla, we did a few mother-daughter, father-daughter, and whole family portraits. One of the biggest things I wanted to highlight about this session is that you can still have a diverse collection of photos even with a simple and classic theme. You aren’t limited to just one or two pictures. The elegant theme made it even easier to focus on the family unit and small details.
So much love for these precious girls. Welcome home! If you are looking for a CT newborn photographer, contact me today for details!
Twin newborn photos are almost always taken when the babies are much older than a couple of weeks (due to the fact that most of them are born way before they are full-term). Don’t let that stay in the NICU stop you from getting beautiful photographs of your babies and family! Contact me to find out if I can fit your little ones on my schedule.
