Nash ~ Outdoor First Birthday and Cake Smash

Happy first birthday to this sweet boy! Nash turned 1 this year, and we had to celebrate with a photo session and cake smash. I have been working with this family for years now, and it is always a good time when I am able to document more memories of them and their kiddos. When I first met them, I took photos of their daughter, Quinn, and now I was able to work with little Nash. For this session, we decided to go with the same location as Quinn’s 1 year session. I bet this family will look back and cherish the moments we had here. It will be fun for them to compare the two siblings at the same age in the same location. It’s such a beautiful environment. The pond makes for a great backdrop, and the greenery ties it altogether.

Nash was a dear – super sweet and shy. He was a little more cautious than his big sister, and was happiest when being held by his mom. However, he got really smiley once he got comfortable. We wanted this session to have some candid moments, so we let the kids talk and play. Nash loved playing in the flowers, and his sister did such a good job of holding little brother’s hand and smiling for the camera. The cake smash was one of my favorite moments. Nash really opened up and had no problem digging into the cake. He thought putting his hand in the icing was funny, and I was able to capture a big laugh from ear to ear. Everyone enjoyed the session, and I look forward to working with this family again for the next milestones they want to document! 

First birthday sessions are a great way to document this special time in your family. All baby milestone sessions include the entire immediate family and can end in a cake smash if you’d like.
