All Smiles! Creative Portraits of a Newborn Baby Smiling ~ Madeline

One of the reasons I love posed newborn photography so much is because it introduces me to so many amazing families and allows me to meet so many wonderful people. Madeline’s proud parents are no exception!

This sweet couple is actually from the Midwest, and they’re only living in Connecticut for a short time, and that short time happened to overlap with the birth of their beautiful baby girl. As much as they’re enjoying Connecticut, they don’t have family members or a large network of friends in the area, so they didn’t have anyone to ask for newborn photography recommendations.

Mom-to-be did as anyone did in that situation: she hit the web and let her eyes tell her which photographer’s work felt like the best fit. As she browsed her options for posed newborn photography in Glastonbury, CT, she came across my portfolio, and I’m thrilled that she did! Mom loved the unique and artistic portraits I create, and when she told me this, I knew exactly what she wanted for her baby girl.

For her part, Madeline did a fantastic job throughout her photo session! She snoozed away and let us pose her for all the adorable sleepy poses Mom and Dad wanted. Still, my favorite picture has to be the glorious and tongue-filled grin Madeline gave us! Whose heart isn’t warmed by seeing a cozy and happy newborn baby smiling?

For most of Madeline’s newborn portraits, we focused on delicate and feminine pinks, which seem to be the perfect fit for this sweet little girl. Her sleepy moon photo is an absolutely dream too, though, and I loved seeing how at-home she was in her proud parents’ arms.
