Summer ~ 1 Year Session with Siblings

Oh, if I could have lashes like these! Sweet baby Summer came back to me for her one-year photos, and my, how she’s grown since her newborn session not so long ago! She has the most gorgeous, striking eyes and dark hair. She is the sweetest little thing, and I loved celebrating with her in the studio.

After twelve months of figuring out how to sit, crawl, and stand, this little one has become quite the explorer. Plus, she has two amazing older siblings to help and motivate her: Alexa, who is nine years old and Luke who is six. She already looks up to them so much, and you can tell that they adore her right back. Since they are several years older, they are the best helping hands to Mom and Dad – and to me during their time here! Throughout the session, they helped Summer smile by dancing and singing behind the camera. It worked like a charm, although she kept wanting to crawl away to be with them. We even got her to hold up her finger to say that she’s one year old! She may not have known what she was doing, but it sure was cute!

Mom wanted lots of classic, yet feminine photos for little Summer. We incorporate subtle, delicate pink florals, a pink tutu, and a simple headband. They were perfect for sweet Summer. Like most one-year olds, she was quite the busybody as she climbed in and out of the chair and tried to show off her standing and almost-walking skills.

Because they’re older, we were able to get the cutest authentic sibling photos. The close bond they’ve already formed with their baby sister is so beautiful! By the end of the session, Summer told us she was done with just a few tears, but then she was back to exploring in no time.
